You know, the theater is one of those places where you can feel and desire whatever you want and keep it to yourself, where no one is watching, ideal! That evening, in a dark hall with echoes of musical numbers, a wish is made - perhaps you can guess which one! ☺️
September 12, 2026 - the breath stopped, the 33rd Belgrade Summer Festival in its final program, believe it or not, is the musical On the other side of the pillow - the wish from 2023 has come true - now you know for sure which one it is! In the role of the official photographer of this year's BELEF, attendance is guaranteed, a photo shoot in the Sava Center is scheduled. The happiness is indescribable, the photo equipment is ready, the spectacle can begin! ❤️
The story of the musical On the other side of the pillow is absolutely perfect. Beloved Belgrade as the main character accompanied by Bajaga tracks were additional elements that made the approach to photography more serious. Because when you love something, you give yourself more to it, you feel a dose of greater responsibility to do the best you can - work from ❤️!
And now a slightly more specific question: what is a musical like as a subject for photography? What is its weight, what is needed? A musical can be said to be a combination of performing arts and definitely differs from other theater performances. As a complex performance, it is first of all characterized by a large number of participants, from actors, dancers, to musicians, for its performance the entire ensemble of the theater is engaged. The actors enriched their acting with musical abilities on that occasion, so the photographer's task is first of all to visualize the rhythm of the performance. Therefore, in addition to suitable photographic equipment, concentration and speed are absolutely necessary, understanding and feeling for the moment as well, as with other types of theater plays, the moment passes quickly, while in a musical it seems even faster - challenging, isn't it? ☺️
The musical On the other side of the pillow is a spectacle in the true sense of the word, and perhaps it is even better to say a real rock concert. Actors, dancers and musicians are surrounded by stage and lighting arrangements that give the impression of a concert stage, the colors refracting with the notes. Humming from the seat is necessary and justified, how can we do without it? Accordingly, the main models for the photo compositions this time are the characters on the rock scene - very inspiring and attractive to photograph!☺️
When the heart knows and the sky knows - just like Bajaga's verses, it's another confirmation of how important it is to dream big dreams and truly wish for the same to come true, it will happen somehow, for sure, there is someone to take care of it! ❤️
P.S. this time, Bajaga, as a special guest of the evening, personally convinced me of this - whipped cream on the cake and as a gift for the first engagement at the Belgrade Summer Festival!☺️
